Summary View

This section discusses the different dataset (price & energy, operation, and cost) that can be analyzed from the summary view per object type.

Summary View

The Summary View serves as a centralized dashboard for analyzing market dynamics and asset performance. Data is organized by functional categories and filtered by specific system objects.

Data Categories

Use the category selectors at the top of the view to switch between different analytical lenses:

1. Price & Energy

Focuses on market-level pricing and bulk energy movement.

  • Market Average Price: The weighted average clearing price for the selected period.
  • Installed Capacity: The total rated nameplate capacity of the assets.
  • Energy Demand & Generation: Comparison of total load requirements versus actual output.
  • Net Energy: The balance of energy after accounting for internal consumption or losses.

2. Operation

Tracks technical KPIs and environmental impact.

  • Fuel Consumption: Measured in ktonnes for thermal units.
  • CO₂ Emissions: Total carbon output generated during operation.
  • Performance Factors: Includes Availability Factor, Capacity Factor, and Load Factor.

3. Cost Data

A comprehensive financial breakdown of expenditures and profitability.

  • Fixed Costs: Capital Cost, Fixed O&M, and Total Fixed Cost.
  • Variable Costs: Production Cost, Carbon Cost, Variable O&M, and Start-up Cost.
  • Total Totals: Total Variable Cost and Total System Cost.
  • Revenue & Profit: Comparison of Total Revenue against Total Cost to determine net profitability.

To populate the data grid, select an Object from the navigation hierarchy. The system generates tables based on the following levels:

ObjectDescription
PoolHigh-level aggregate data for the entire market.
RegionData segmented by region, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Fuel TypePerformance grouped by resource (e.g., Solar, BESS, Geothermal).
SiteGranular data for individual sites.
StorageSpecific metrics for energy storage systems.
LinkInterconnector and transmission flow data between nodes.

Interaction Guide

  1. Select Object: Choose an object from the Tab (e.g., Region).
  2. Select Metric: Click on a data tab (e.g., Price & Energy).
  3. Analyze: The table will display the chosen data accordingly.
Multi-Select Support

The Summary View supports multi-selection. You can choose several objects and data categories (e.g., Price & Operation) simultaneously to view them in a stacked table format.

To open Summary view, right click a scenario from the Scenario Tree View then choose "Load Summary".
