Aggregated Bids
Overview
Aggregated bids (also called typical bids) are day-type bid profiles built from a window of historical bid data. For the full procedure, see Aggregator in the Bid Manager reference tab.
What It Is
Typical bids are aggregated bid profiles generated from historical bid data, used to
represent common or recurring bidding behaviour. The Aggregator sub-tab builds these
profiles by day type — WORKDAY, SAT, and SUN — from a historical window you specify, so
a study can use representative bid patterns rather than exact historical bids. The same
aggregation can also be run in batch via the bidmanager-aggregator.exe command-line tool.
When to Use It
Use Aggregated Bids when preparing typical bid inputs for forecasting or scenario studies — aggregate a historical window into WORKDAY, SAT, and SUN typical bids instead of using exact historical data for every simulated day.
