Overview

The Viewer Bar (production component: SubBar) sits below the Scenario Tab Bar and lets you switch between dashboard views for the currently selected object. Views that are not available for the selected object are shown as dimmed chips and are not interactive. Click any active chip to switch to that view.

Some views are dimmed because they require specific run outputs — for example, the Historical & Database view requires a HistDBErr.csv file in the scenario folder, and the Zonal Trace view requires a zonal-mode simulation run. The Price Duration Curve chip is always dimmed in the current build regardless of the selected object — its configuration is not active in the current product.

ViewWhat it showsWhen to use itAvailable for
Net LoadNet load (demand minus variable renewable energy generation) over time, with Residual Load, VRE Generation, Demand, Generation, and Price seriesWhen you need to see how much of the load must be served by dispatchable generators (not VRE) at each dispatch intervalPool, Region, Zone
BidStackThe merit-order bid stack for each dispatch interval, overlaid with Demand, Generation, and Price curvesWhen you need to see which generators were dispatched, at what offer prices, and in what quantitiesPool, Region, Zone, Site, Unit
DGPDemand, Generation, and spot Price on a single timelineThe primary "at-a-glance" view for any dispatch object; answers "what was the market price and how much was generated vs. consumed?"Pool, Region, Zone, Site, Unit
Fuel SummaryGeneration broken down by fuel type in a stacked chart (Coal, CCGT, Hydro, Wind, Solar, Geo, OCGT, Pump, etc.) with Demand and Price overlayWhen you need to understand the fuel mix driving the market at each dispatch intervalPool, Region, Zone
Reserve PriceAncillary service prices (SMP, Frequency Regulation, Reserve Up, Reserve Down, Dispatchable Reserve) alongside the energy spot priceWhen you need to see what ancillary services cost at each interval and how they compare to the energy pricePool, Region, Zone
Link ViewPower flow through an interconnection link (MW Flow, Unconstrained Flow, To/From Limits) and prices at each end (price difference, To Price, From Price)When you need to check whether a link is congested and what price differential is driving flowLink
ProfilesTypical-period profiles — Demand, Generation, or Price aggregated by period number rather than calendar date (user-selectable: Demand Profile / Gen Profile / Price Profile)When you need to understand the typical shape of demand/generation/price by time of day, independent of specific datesPool, Region, Zone, Group
StorageA storage unit's charge/discharge power (Generation = discharge, Demand = charge) and state-of-charge level in MWh (Level) alongside the price signalWhen you need to see when a storage unit is charging vs. discharging and whether it is arbitraging price differentials as expectedStorage
Flow Duration CurveThe cumulative distribution of flow levels through a link — how often (as % of time) the link carries at least X MWWhen you need to understand how frequently a link is congested or at various flow levelsLink
Regional TracePrice, Demand, or Generation traces for all regions on a single chart simultaneously (user-selectable trace type)When you need to compare how prices, demand, or generation differ across regions at each dispatch intervalPool, Zone
Zonal TracePrice, Demand, or Generation traces for all dispatch zones on a single chart simultaneously — the zonal analogue of Regional TraceWhen you need to compare price/demand/generation across sub-regional dispatch zones; only meaningful in zonal-mode simulation runs. The chip is dimmed for non-zonal runs.Pool (zonal runs only)
Historical & DatabaseA tabular error/diagnostic report produced by historical and backcasting runs, grouping units by error category (Remarks column) with colour-coded fuel-type badgesWhen you need to review which units had data quality problems or capacity constraints during the historical calibration runAny object when HistDBErr.csv exists in the scenario folder — chip is dimmed otherwise
EconomicsFinancial economics of a generation site over time: Revenue, Cost, and Profit/Loss, with stats showing Avg Price, Margin, and Breakdown by Fuel Type. Stats panel is hidden in compare mode. When you need to assess whether a site is profitable under this scenario, and which fuel types contribute most to its marginSite
Contract SettlementContract settlement between generator and counterparty: Strike Price, Reference Price (spot), Net Settlement Price, and contracted QuantityWhen you need to see whether a contract is paying out (strike above reference = payable to generator) and what quantity is being settledContract
Sub-Group TraceThe combined load/generation trace for all children in a portfolio sub-group, with Price overlayWhen you need to see the aggregate dispatch profile of all loads, sites, or contracts within a specific sub-group of a portfolioPortfolioSubGroup
AggregateStackStacked generation from all portfolio children (sites/units) over time, with total load overlay — shows how each asset contributes to the portfolio totalWhen you need to understand the aggregate generation profile of an entire portfolio and see which assets are contributing at each intervalPortfolio
ComparisonSame metric compared across multiple scenarios side by side (selectable metric: Price, Generation, Demand, Net Load, and others depending on object type)When you need to compare how a key metric differs between two or more scenarios for the same objectPool, Region, Zone, Load, Site, Unit, Participant, Meter, Link, Generator, Group, Portfolio, Storage, Contract
Price, Generation + DemandPrice, Generation, and Demand on a single timeline for load-type and group objects — the Load/Group/Portfolio/Storage equivalent of the DGP viewWhen you need the at-a-glance price/generation/demand view for a load, group, portfolio, or storage objectLoad, Group, Portfolio, Storage
Price Duration Curve(Temporarily unavailable — this view is not active in the current build. The chip is always dimmed.)
